Six Small Businesses You Should Know: Episode One--Artist Gather

Welcome to the first of six episodes where Sara Scraps and I are going to be sharing Six Small Businesses That You Should Know! We are super excited to be showcasing a new small business on the 1st, 10th, and 20th, of the month for the next few months. The best news is that we are going to be giving away an amazing prize pack at end of the six episodes full of goodies from all six companies. Please know that we are not in any way, shape, or form affiliated by or paid for content by these companies! We just really love them and think that you will too!!

Our first company today is called Artist Gather and is run by a lovely and sweet scrappy friend, Sarah. She is party of a military family and a mama to beautiful kids and we got the opportunity to spend some time with her at Creativation. We immediately fell in love with her classic style and intentional stamp designs. We were especially taken with her fun retro sets of alphabet, months, years, and number stamps that all fit together perfectly to create unique elements. She also carries some other gorgeous stamp sets as well as traveler’s notebook inserts, washi tape, and some amazing pocket envelopes that I can’t wait to try! Sarah is just the sweetest thing and you are definitely going to want to check out her store. You can find Artist Gather goodies and inspiration at these locations:

Today, I started working in a new traveler’s notebook insert for a trip that we took last summer to Boston. I am going to be working on this project throughout this entire series and bringing in products from each of our companies. These stamps are just perfect for layouts with a travel theme and because I am a travel fanatic, these are just perfect for me to have in my stash because I know that they will get used often.

For the cover of this notebook, I wanted to keep things simple and capitalize on the classic (and retro) feel of the stamp sets. I love how all of the different stamp sets are designed completely intentionally to fit together perfectly. I layered up the BOS, June, and 2017 in order to create a simple look with a high impact on the plain cover of this notebook.

Inside, I wanted to create a bolder look using the same stamped detailing so I grabbed the alphabet stamps and used my Stamp Platform to make sure that I would get an even pattern and spacing as I used the quote “Not All Who Wander Are Lost.” I decided to make the word WANDER in a brighter color so that that would stand out since this is a travel project after all.

I finished the elements on this introduction page with some layered ephemera from the new Here + There collection from Crate Paper as well as some ephemera from the Heidi Swapp Hawthorne collection. Both of these collections have a travel vibe and coordinated well to create a unique look at the top of the page. Using two of the tags back to back allowed for the “destination” word to show from the front or the back. I added a couple bright enamel dots to match the ink color in WANDER and I was done! I would love it if you would also stop by and watch the process video for how I created this look with the gorgeous stamp sets and my Stamp Platform!

Scrapping Wonders & Accent Scrapbooking Blog Hop

I am super excited to see you here on Black Friday! We are collaborating with the amazing Accent Scrapbooking flair badges this month and I just loved using mine in my traveler's notebook. This notebook insert is one for my oldest son. I have these inserts for each of my kids where each spread is a letter from me to that kid about some part of their personality or life that I just love right now.

This particular one is about my son's love of science and all things outer space. The universe flair badges were absolutely perfect for this layout! I did try to make sure that they were arranged in a visual triangle but throughout the entire layout so that the bulk wasn't in the same place on the page.

Pairing up these flair badges with some of my leftover Ali Edwards Story Kit pieces was just perfect for the feel that I wanted. I added a little pop of purple from the Summer Lights 6x6 paper pad that I had in my scrap bin.

I hope that you are loving seeing all of the flair badge traveler's notebook projects today. Make sure to leave a comment on each blog so that you can be entered to win a $25 (Canadian) gift certificate from Accent Scrapbooking as well as a $10 gift certificate from Scrapping Wonders. And with that, you are off to visit Kareen at ( Happy Crafting!!

International Shipping Update

Hey International ladies!

I just wanna say that I love you all and the struggle that you have to get quality cool supplies is real. I have spent the last couple of weeks researching all of my options, making budget calculations, and working towards a solution. I am absolutely 100% committed to the fact that my international scrappy friends should have access to some amazing products delivered each month. So....instead of talking over all of the barriers (there are many!), we are taking charge. This is super top secret for The Secret Not Secret Kit Club members...SO....Shhhhhhhhhh

At this time, we are going to go with this plan. I am SO excited to announce that we are going to do $12.00 flat shipping for international kit friends. This is going to be the price for a typical monthly subscription box. If you order a super jumbo kit or a smaller embellishment only kit, we will totally have to reevaluate. BUT...if you want to be in and we are talking about a standard-ish sized monthly kit, $12.00 flat rate shipping. I am ALWAYS up for other creative shipping options...please don't let shipping hold you back. As shipping rates change, these rates may need to change BUT I will always keep you informed and involved. This is a HUGE priority for me (and for Sara moving forward with RYS as well). Much love to my international friends!!!'s a secret!!

You Tube Q&A

Hello lovely kreatives!

I just wanted to pop in here and say THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for all of the excitement and enthusiasm about this brand new program. I am super excited which I am sure comes thru when I talk about this club. In case you haven't checked it out yet, there is a YT video over on my channel where I answered a bunch of questions and provided some more details about how things work. Make sure to click on the Secret Not Secret Kit Club link and send me the form if you are interested in playing along. The first group is nearly full so if you want to start with us, you will want to get that request in very soon.

Once again, thank you! Thank you! Thank you! As broken-hearted as I am about the hurricanes, fires, earthquakes, and happening all over our world, my heart is full tonight because so many of you have reached out to me and support this amazing new adventure.  I am sending all of that love, support, and encouragement to my dear friends in Florida tonight.....

The Secret Not Secret Kit Club Revealed

Today, one of my scrappy besties got to reveal a little secret project that I have been working on. I have spent hours and hours planning and preparing for the new Secret Not Secret Kit Club. I wanted to create something innovative and revolutionary that would connect creatives with a kit that was customized and specifically curated for them individually. There are lots of great features and fun surprises along the way to make this kit club something completely unlike any other one on the market. This is a very unique, individualized approach. Think of it like a personal shopper service! No two kits are identical and each one is created and curated just for you!

What's even better?!?! Frequent tips and tricks, help when you are stuck, and a live one-on-one video with me tailored to your needs and desires. It's going to be epic!! There is a huge teaching and support component so that it's not just more prettyproduct but it's getting used and you are learning something new. Lots more will be coming soon and more kit subscribers will be sharing their unboxing videos within the next couple of days!

Make sure to fill out the form and express your interest before all of the spots are full. This is going to be a very limited enrollment club so that our kit curators can put together each kit individually and designed specifically for you! Sign up today.

Check out the testimonial of one excited subscriber...

Megan says: "I am ready for my October one (kit) and haven't even gotten September! I think the suspense and not seeing the kit beforehand makes it so much more fun!"
